Mary Chammas
President
Mary Chammas proudly represents her Lebanese heritage in all that she does. She currently serves as a Law Clerk at Jackson Lewis, P.C., where she works in employment defense. Mary graduated from California State University, Fullerton in 2023 with a degree in International Business and Global Trade and a minor in Marketing before earning her J.D. from Southwestern Law School in 2026.
Throughout her academic journey, Mary remained deeply committed to celebrating her heritage and building community. During her undergraduate years, she founded and served as President of both the Lebanese Student Association and the Southwest Asian North African (SWANA) organization. She continued this commitment in law school, where she served as Vice President of the Persian Middle Eastern Law Student Association and founded the Arab Law Society, serving as its President.
Mary previously served as the LCN West Regional President from 2022-2025. Beyond her involvement with LCN, Mary remains actively engaged in Lebanese nonprofit organizations, including the House of Lebanon and CaliforLeb. Through these organizations, she works to unite the Lebanese community in Los Angeles and give back to her roots through fundraising, cultural events, and community engagement.
Talia Boukhalil
Vice President of Events
Talia earned her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from California State University, Fullerton, where she also completed minors in French and Southwest Asian and North African Studies in 2024. During her undergrad years, Talia held several leadership positions within the Lebanese Student Association, including Secretary, Treasurer, and Vice President and served as President of the SWANA organization.
Within the Lebanese Collegiate Network, Talia previously served as West Regional President, where she worked closely with Lebanese student organizations across the region to strengthen collaboration, leadership, and community engagement. She now serves as LCN’s Vice President of Events, focusing on expanding the network, supporting member organizations, and building stronger connections among Lebanese students nationwide.
Professionally, Talia works in finance as an Analyst at Galliott Capital Advisors, a wealth management firm, where she supports investment and wealth management initiatives for clients. She is passionate about bringing together her professional experience and commitment to the Lebanese community to help LCN continue growing and creating meaningful opportunities for its members.
Julianne Khoury
Vice President of Membership
Julianne is a fourth-year student at UCLA studying International Development and Accounting. Throughout her time at UCLA, she has spent three years in leadership roles within the Lebanese and Arab student organizations, working to strengthen cultural representation, foster community, and create meaningful opportunities for students to connect with their heritage.
Following graduation, Julianne will begin her professional career at PwC, where she hopes to build a strong foundation in business and finance before ultimately transitioning into humanitarian work. In the long term, she hopes to combine her professional experience with her passion for service to support communities and contribute to meaningful humanitarian initiatives.
Rita Chammas
Secretary
Rita is a second-semester nursing student at California State University, San Bernardino (CSUSB) with a strong passion for healthcare, leadership, and community service. Last year, she served as Secretary of the LCN-West Board, where she played an active role in supporting the organization and strengthening connections among Lebanese college students across the West Coast. Her involvement with LCN has allowed her to stay connected to her Lebanese heritage while helping create opportunities for students to collaborate, and become more engaged within the greater Lebanese community.
As she continues her nursing education, Rita hopes to pursue a career in critical care or the intensive care unit, where she can care for patients during some of their most vulnerable moments. She also plans to further her education by ultimately earning her doctorate and becoming a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist. Through both her healthcare career and community involvement, Rita hopes to continue growing as a leader while making a meaningful impact on the people and communities she serves.
Setrag Tavitian
Treasurer
Setrag Tavitian is an internationally ranked backgammon player and entrepreneur who brings a strategic, analytical mindset to every endeavor. He graduated from California State University, Northridge with a B.S. in Business Management, and furthered his academic expertise by earning an MBA, honored as a member of Beta Gamma Sigma, and is pursuing an MPA from Arkansas State University.
Setrag’s has served as an Operations Manager at Avis Budget Group at LAX. However, beyond corporate operations, Setrag is a seasoned entrepreneur and business owner. His diverse venture background includes founding a mobile wholesale charcoal distribution business, owning and operating 2 lounges, and working as an International Government Contract Specialist executing procurement and logistics contracts across Iraq, Jordan, and Egypt. Expanding further into the hospitality and culinary space, he is currently opening his own restaurant, Thyme Machine LA.
Having previously served as LCN Western Region Treasurer and President of the Lebanese Student Association, he is deeply committed to empowering students and professionals, fostering community support, and building strong organizational foundations for long-term growth.
Rachel Daou
Vice President of Public Relations
Rachel Daou was born and raised in Los Angeles, California, and is proud of her Lebanese heritage. She graduated from the University of California, Riverside with a B.S. in Biochemistry. During her time at UCR, Rachel worked as a Research Assistant, gaining extensive experience in laboratory techniques, data analysis, and innovative problem-solving.
Rachel’s career path has also led her into education, where she has worked as a Math and Science Instructor, teaching and mentoring students across a wide range of subjects, from chemistry and biology to astronomy and business math. She is deeply committed to creating a supportive and engaging learning environment, helping students build both academic and personal confidence.
As the Vice President of Public Relations for LCN, Rachel is excited to use her leadership and outreach experience to strengthen connections within the Lebanese student and alumni community and help advance LCN’s mission nationwide. She believes it is vital for students and professionals to experience the sense of belonging and support that she found within her own community as she transitioned into her professional career.
